Autotrader RSA Vehicle Sync FAQs
Collapsible content
What happens if I sell a car or remove it from AutoTrader?
The app is designed to keep your inventory accurate. The next time it runs an automated sync, it will notice that the vehicle is no longer on AutoTrader and will automatically delete it from your Shopify store. This ensures you do not accidentally sell a vehicle that is no longer available.
Why is the "Run Sync" button greyed out or disabled?
The manual "Run Sync" button is an exclusive feature for users on the Premium plan. If you are on the Basic or Pro plan, your app relies entirely on the automated background schedule, so this button will remain disabled.
(Note: If you are on the Premium plan and the button is greyed out, it means you have recently run a manual sync. The app temporarily disables the button to prevent the system from being overloaded.)
How many vehicles can I sync and how often does the app update?
This depends entirely on the billing plan you have selected:
- Basic Plan: Syncs up to 50 vehicles. The app updates automatically once a day.
- Pro Plan: Syncs up to 100 vehicles. The app updates automatically every 12 hours.
- Premium Plan: Syncs an unlimited number of vehicles. The app updates automatically every hour, and you can use the "Run Sync" button to push manual updates at any time.
What happens if I reach my plan's sync limit?
If you hit your maximum vehicle limit, the app will temporarily pause syncing any new vehicles. Your limit will automatically reset at the start of your next cycle (every 24 hours for Basic, or every 12 hours for Pro). If your inventory grows and you need more capacity, you can upgrade your plan at any time within the app.
Why aren't details like the Year, Mileage, or Body Type showing up on my website?
If these details are missing, it is highly likely that you skipped Step 1 of the setup guide! The app is successfully pulling this data from AutoTrader, but your Shopify store does not know where to display it until you create the specific "Metafields" (storage boxes) in your Shopify Settings. Please refer back to Step 1 to set these up.
